Common Components Section

The Common Components section of the Checkpoint Tests (for Component or Page) screen displays any common components that have been added as a part of the associated test case, and that have been detected automatically. Common components enable you to test items that are repeated in multiple areas of a website or application a single time, then avoid (prevent) them from being subsequently tested for each occurence.

To view additional details (the component CSS Selector and page access Instructions when available) about a found component, click the blue information (i) button, which expands downward the display of a section with this information:

When Not Detected: A button will appear that allows you to command the control browser to detect the components in the test browser automatically. For more information, see Detecting Common Components.
