Getting Started with axe Auditor
The following process depicts a simplified version of an axe Auditor user session in which a single individual, such as an accessibility consultant or subject matter expert, is taking responsibility for all major tasks themselves.
Scope: It covers test case and test run setup, automated and manual testing, issue logging, assigning results, and issue exporting. It does not cover organization or user administration.

Log in to axe Auditor. For complete instructions, see Signing in.

Activate Test Cases link from the main menu. For complete instructions, see Overview of Test Cases.

Create a new folder if necessary. For complete instructions, see Creating a New Folder.

Create a new test case if necessary. For complete instructions, see Creating a New Test Case.

Create a test run. For complete instructions, see Creating a Test Run.

Start testing. On the Test Run Overview screen, in the desired Page section, click Start Testing. For complete instructions, see Start Testing a Test Run.

Prepare the page (or component) for automated and manual testing. For complete instructions, see Preparing a Page for Automated and Manual Testing.

Start manual testing. Follow the testing methodology for each checkpoint. Manual Testing.

Flag issues for review, as necessary.

Flag checkpoints for review, as necessary.

Mark checkpoint test results. (Assign either Pass, Fail, or Not Applicable). For complete instructions, see Passing and Failing (Assigning Manual Testing Checkpoint Results).

Repeat. Continue with manual testing until all checkpoints have results for each page of the test run.
