The Testing Status section of the "Checkpoint Tests for" screens for either Components or Pages display an Automated testing field status section. Depending on that status, either a Run automated tests link or a Rerun automated tests link appears you can activate to initiate automated testing of the component or page.

On this page:

Running

It is possible to initiate the automated testing engine by activating a link under the Automated Testing field of the Testing Status section of the Checkpoint Tests for Component or Page "hub" screens when it has not been done previously for that particular component or page.

To run automated tests from the "Checkpoint Tests for" screen:

  1. In the the Automated testing field status where Not Started is displayed and no issues have been logged, activate the Run automated tests link.
  2. On the Prepare Page for Automated and Manual Testing screen, follow the "send URL" and "follow page access Instructions" steps, then activate the Start Testing button. To skip automated testing, activate the Skip Automated Testing button.

You are now able to proceed with viewing issue details or continuing on to perform manual testing.

Rerunning

When automated testing has already been run on a component or page, but you've made changes to it and the associated test run has not yet been completed, you can "re-run" the automated tests from the Checkpoint Tests for Page (or Component): <Page (or Component) Name> screen.

Before You Begin: You must first navigate to the desired Checkpoint Tests for Page: <Page Name> screen (Test Runs > Test Run Overview: <Page Name> > Resume). For more information, see Resuming a Test Run.

To re-run automated tests:

  1. On the Checkpoint Tests for Page: <Page Name> screen, activate the Rerun automated tests link from the Testing Status section of the screen.

  2. On the Rerun Automated Tests Confirmation popup window, activate the Yes, Run Again button.

  3. On the Prepare Page for Automated and Manual Testing screen, activate the Send URL button.

The page to be tested is displayed in the connected testing browser.

  4. On the Prepare Page for Automated and Manual Testing screen, activate the Start Testing button.

Note - Alternate Starting Point - Automated Testing screen: You can also rerun automated tests by clicking the Rerun Automated Tests button at the bottom, left of the Automated Testing screen:
