  1. Select an axe-core version from the axe-core version drop-down. By default, the latest version is selected. This setting ensures your scans to run on the most recent version available.

  2. Select the accessibility testing standard from the Standard drop-down. By default, WCAG 2.1 Level AA is selected.

  3. (Optional) enable the Test for best practices checkbox, if you want axe-core to return results for improved accessibility and usability, in addition to the standard that you select.

  4. Select either on or off from the Public share link section. This option allows guest users to access single scan results.

  5. Select a scan size:

  • Standard Scan: Up to 1000 pages, for medium websites (recommended, default)
  • Quick Scan: Up to 100 pages for small parts of websites. This option provides results more quickly but only scans start URLs and their links.
  • Large Scan: Up to 5000 pages maximum and explores 5 levels deep.
  • Custom Scan:
    • Define scan depth to allow crawling between 1-5 levels deep of link.
    • Define the max page limit to crawl.
