Send accessibility issues to Jira and track remediation status from Developer Hub issue pages

Not for use with personal data

With the Axe platform Jira integration, you can send individual accessibility issues identified in Axe Developer Hub directly to your Jira instance. After sending, the issue header displays the Jira issue key and current status, so you can track remediation progress without leaving Developer Hub.

Prerequisites

Before you can send issues to Jira from Developer Hub:

  • Enterprise subscription: Your enterprise subscription must include the Jira integration.
  • Jira connection: Your organization's Axe Account Portal admin must have connected to a Jira instance and created at least one template. See Getting Started with the Jira Integration.
  • User authentication: You must be authenticated with Jira through the Axe Account Portal.

Send an Issue to Jira

  1. In Developer Hub, navigate to an issue detail page.

  2. Select Send to Jira.

  3. Choose a template from the list and select Continue.

  4. In the Set Values step, review and optionally modify the fields pre-populated from your template. Note that your Jira instance's required fields may differ.

  5. Enter information in any required fields and select Send. A confirmation appears indicating the issue was sent successfully.

Track Jira Status in Developer Hub

After an issue is sent to Jira, the issue header updates to show:

  • The Jira icon
  • The Jira issue key (for example, "PROJ-123")
  • The current Jira status (for example, "To do" or "In progress")

The status refreshes immediately after you send an issue, so you can see the current remediation state without switching to Jira.
