Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can a contractor see all the test cases in the system?
No. Contractors can only see the specific test cases that an administrator has assigned to them. All other data in the system remains hidden from their view.
-
Can a contractor add or remove other contractors?
No. Only administrators can add, remove, or manage contractor accounts. Contractors have no administrative capabilities within the platform.
-
What happens to a contractor's access if they are removed?
When an administrator removes a contractor, they will get the default member access with complete system visibility (except admin privileges).
-
Does enabling Contractor Access Control affect internal team members?
No. Internal team members retain full access to the platform exactly as before. The feature only introduces a restricted access layer for contractor users.
-
Can the same user be both an internal team member and a contractor?
No. A user is either an internal team member with full access, or a contractor with restricted access. These roles are mutually exclusive.
-
Can a contractor be assigned to more than one test case?
Yes. An administrator can assign multiple test cases to the same contractor. The contractor will be able to see and work on all of their assigned test cases.
