Not for use with personal data
The Contractor User Access Control feature is designed with data privacy at its core. Here is a summary of the protections it provides:
- Contractors can only view and interact with test cases explicitly assigned to them by an administrator.
- No contractor can browse, search for, or accidentally stumble upon data belonging to other clients or projects.
- Administrators retain full control over adding, removing, and updating contractor assignments at any time.
- Internal team members retain full visibility and are not impacted by the contractor access model.
- Sensitive client information is protected by the principle of least privilege. Contractors receive only the minimum access they need to do their job.
Note for Clients: If your organisation is engaging third-party contractors to work within axe Auditor, this feature ensures that those contractors can only access the specific work you have assigned to them. Your broader project data, reports, and configurations remain protected.
