Enter the following information to start setting up your scan.

  1. Scan Name: Required. Enter a name for the scan you are creating.

  2. At least one of the three following fields must be filled out:

  • Scan URLs: Enter the URL where your scan should start. To add more URLs, use the + icon.

  • Upload URLs FROM File: Upload a .csv file with a list of URLs to scan. This is useful for inputting a list, such as your most visited pages, for example:

  • Scan a user flow: Some of the most important content on your site only appears after someone takes an action — filling out a form, clicking a button, navigating a multi-step flow. Traditional scanners only see what's on the page when it first loads. Axe Monitor can scan that dynamic content too, so you're not missing accessibility issues in the parts of your site users interact with most. Learn more: How to create a user flow script.

  • Click the Add Script button to upload script files. User flow scripts must include at least one analyze step, and they only scan the specified pages (child pages are not scanned). For more information about writing scripts, please review Axe CLI documentation.

  1. Log-in details and other saved values: (Optional) When you have uploaded a script. Sensitive information like usernames and passwords can be stored securely in Axe Monitor instead of directly in scripts. Add a name and value to Axe Monitor, and then add "<< env.variable_NAME >>" to your script, with the name replaced. Note: Log-in scripts are added on the Advanced Settings step.

  2. Click either the “Next” button to continue, “Previous” to return to General settings, or “Cancel” to return to the Scans List.
