The Issues View allows you to efficiently review, understand, and address accessibility issues found during scan runs.

Navigation: From the axe Monitor navigation bar >> Select Issues

The Issues List shows Critical issues first by default because they are the highest priority issues found in your scan.

Each issue has a count of its occurrences and pages where the issue appears. To get more details on an issue, click the arrow icon. Expanding an issue will show all the pages where this issue occurs.

Change the Scan or Scan Run

  1. Select the Change Scan/Run button. In the Select Runs modal, find and select the scan runs
  2. Select Apply.

Customize your Issues list

Use the Sort By dropdown to sort issues based on:

  • Impact (High to Low default)
  • Description
  • Unique Page Count
  • Issue Count

Use the Filters button to narrow your Issues list and focus on just the accessibility issues relevant to you.

  1. In the Select Runs dialog box that appears, find and select the scan runs, and select Apply. Select Runs
  2. View the displayed accessibility issues for the selected scans/runs. You can also use the Filters dialog box or the Rules search option to refine your view.

The total number of issues found after filtering is displayed to the user on the page.

Filter Name Description
URL Sort the issue URLs based on two options. When using the "URL with Matches Exactly" option, you are specifying a particular URL or a pattern that must be exactly matched. The "URL Contains" option searches for issues on pages containing a specified string in the URL. This search only includes the portions of the URL after the primary domain.
Page Title Issues associated with a specific page title.
Tag Type Issues associated with a specific HTML element.
Severity Select from the available checkbox options: None, Issue, Pass, Needs Review, or N/A.
Status Issues with a status of: All, Open, Fixed, or Ignored.
Labels Issues with a specific existing label.
Assigned To Issues assigned to a specific user.
Issue Group Issues associated with a specific type of content such as Alternate text issues, Links, Forms, Frames, ARIA, etc.
Issue Description Issues matching a specific issue description.
Remediation Issues containing remediation guidance added manually using the Issue Detail page in a previous version of axe Monitor.
Script Issues found when analyzing a specific use case script.
Created after Issues that were created after the specified date. The options you can select are: Anytime, Yesterday, Today, A week ago, A month ago, and custom.
Created before Issues that were created before the specified date. The options you can select are: Anytime, Yesterday, Today, A week ago, A month ago, and custom.
Impact Issues with a specific impact. Severity level - Critical, Serious, Moderate, or Minor.
Conformance Level Issues that match the available conformance levels.
Issue Type Select Common to refine the report by only those issues found in common template areas of a page (as specified with scope definitions). Common issues may be repeated on hundreds or thousands of pages but are reported only once.
Page Source Select Automated to display the page source that were found automatically as a result of automated testing. Select Uploaded if the page sources were uploaded.

Use View By to show individual results by their Page Title or URL. Some sites may have repetitive page titles, and some may have long URLs. Choose the option that suits your needs.
