Set Up Dimensions
Dimensions can be set up by axe Reports Admins. Learn more about Dimensions.
To create a new Dimension, navigate to Dimensions under Global Options in the menu bar.
On the Dimensions page, select + New Dimension. To edit an existing Dimension, use the Edit Dimension button.
- Enter a name for the Dimension. This field is required. Select Next.
- Select Add Subdimension. A Dimension must have at least one Subdimension. Subdimensions can be nested up to 5 levels deep for detailed accessibility reporting.

A modal appears. You may select “Child of” to nest the Subdimension. Selecting a child of “none” creates a first-level Subdimension. Name the Subdimension and select “Save.”
Note: Use the three dots next to each Subdimension to edit, add a child, or delete the Subdimension.

In Step 3, select Assign Projects to connect the appropriate Scans, Scripts, or Test Cases to the desired Subdimensions. Use the Skip link if you want to bypass this step and assign them later. Note that items assigned to a child Subdimension will be inherited by parent Subdimensions.

On the Review page, check the Dimension settings and use the pencil icon to make edits if needed. Select Add Dimension or Edit Dimension to save.

After reviewing, you can choose to either View all Dimensions or create another Dimension using the Create Another Dimension link.
