The ways you can install the Axe DevTools for Web Node.js and JavaScript packages, and which options each package supports

Not for use with personal data

Every Axe DevTools for Web Node.js and JavaScript package can be installed in the same ways. This page describes each option once, and the table below links to the instructions for your package.

Installation options

  • Download a demo project pre-integrated with Axe DevTools for Web: For customers who need the shortest path to producing results, Deque offers demo projects that already include Axe DevTools for Web. With one downloaded, you can be producing accessibility scan reports for your own web pages in as little as ten minutes. Demo projects are available for some packages only.
  • Download a bundled package of Axe DevTools for Web and its dependencies: Designed for customers evaluating Axe DevTools for Web who want to add it to their own testing environments as simply as possible, and for customers with limited access to public artifact repositories. A bundle requires no additional dependencies and can be delivered through the largest number of avenues. Bundles for every package are listed on the downloads page.
  • Configure your artifact repository for users to download Axe DevTools for Web from it: For enterprise customers, the standard option is to configure your Nexus or Artifactory instance to distribute Axe DevTools for Web to your developers. This option is highly scalable and sustainable once your artifact repository can distribute Axe DevTools for Web without interrupting developer workflow.
  • Download Axe DevTools for Web from Deque's Agora artifact repository: Designed for enterprise customers without their own artifact repository, this option uses Deque's artifact repository. See Install Axe DevTools for Web for Node.js from Deque's Agora for authentication and installation instructions.
