Time to Scan

During initial setup, you will be introduced to Projects. All results from Mobile Analyzers will be sent to Axe Developer Hub. The first time you use the Accessibility Analyzer, a Project will automatically be created for you. You will see where scans will be saved on the 'Time to Scan' screen.

On your device or emulator:

1. 'Turn on' the Analyzer.
2. Give permission for the Analyzer to access the accessibility service on your device.
3. This will take you to your settings:
   1. Select 'Axe'.
   2. Toggle 'Use Axe'.
   3. (Optional) Toggle 'Axe shortcut' so you can access the Analyzer from your home screen in the future.
   4. Use the back arrow to return to the app. A floating action button with an accessibility icon will now be present.
4. Open the app you wish to test.
5. Navigate to any screen in your app.
6. Tap the floating action button to begin a scan.
7. Continue to navigate through your app and tap the floating action button on each screen you wish to scan.
8. After the first scan, a second floating action button with a kebab menu will appear. Select for options at any time.
9. When you are finished taking scans, tap the kebab menu button. Then tap 'Finish report'.

You will see a summary of your scan session. The default report name will use a timestamp. You can select that field to rename your report. If you are ready to look at your results, tap the button to 'View results in Developer Hub'. This will open up a browser tab. Alternately, you can start a new scan, or select 'Done' to return home. Here you can turn off the Accessibility Analyzer.
