To test iOS devices, your computer needs Xcode and its command-line tools installed. This is a one-time setup. The entire process to install or upgrade Xcode typically takes 30-60 minutes, depending on your internet speed and Mac performance. Make sure you have a stable internet connection before you begin.
Choose one of the options below:
- Install Xcode - Install Xcode for the first time
- Update Xcode - Check your Xcode version and update to the latest, if needed
If you already have the latest version of Xcode installed, you can skip ahead to Verify Xcode Command Line Tools are installed.

While Xcode is necessary for the iOS Mobile Analyzer to access devices and run tests, you won't need to run the Xcode application regularly after the initial installation if you are testing on real devices.
